Fire Safety Education: At 9:18 a.m. Aug. 25, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel conducted a Fire Safety Education class at 291 Jenkins Road. Gas spill: At 12:37 p.m. Aug. 26, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas spill at 994 Tyrone Road. Authorized controlled burn: At 5:20 p.m. Aug. 26, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an authorized controlled burn at 805 Oak Ridge Trail. Unauthorized controlled burn: At 1:28 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an unauthorized controlled burn at 100 Bentley Lane. Outdoor burning is prohibited from May 1 to Sept. 30. A $500 fine could be imposed on violators. Mobile home fire: At 6:57 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to 195 White Road. Gas leak: At 9:16 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to gas leak at 190 Fiddlers Ridge. From Aug. 22-28: the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services received 108 calls for help. Fayetteville Fire Dept. Gas leak: At 11:27 a.m. Aug. 22, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas leak at 936 Redwine Road. Prank alarm: At 12:55 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayetteville firefighters responded to 1060 N. 85 Hwy. after a prank fire alarm was called in. Gas spill: At 1:49 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas spill at 105 Pavilion Parkway. Prank alarm: At 4:05 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayetteville firefighters responded to 720 N. Glynn St. after a prank fire alarm was called in. Outside equipment fire: At 6:57 p.m. Aug. 27, Fayetteville firefighters responded an outside equipment fire at 195 White Road. From Aug. 22-28: Fayetteville Fire Department received 51 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Interior gas leaks: At 8:13 p.m. Aug. 23, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel responded to an Interior Gas Leak at 117 Sweetgum Road. Fire personnel investigated and secured the residence. Structure fire: At 12:29 p.m. Aug. 24, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a reported structure fire at the Shell Station, 307 Highway 74 North. An investigation revealed electrical shorting, no fire. Wires down: At 2:09 p.m. Aug. 24, Peachtree City Fire and rescue personnel responded to wires down at 205 Elm Drive. Fire personnel secured the scene. Triathlon: At 6 a.m. Aug. 27, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel were on site for the annual Peachtree City Triathlon. Specialty teams involved included EMS personnel and EMS Bike Team and Water Rescue Team. Structure fire: At 12:21 p.m. Aug. 27, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a structure fire at 124 Kings Ridge Road. The fire was out on arrival. EMS personnel evaluated and checked for injuries. Golf cart accident: At 3:31 p.m. Aug. 28, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a golf cart accident on the path behind 109 Forest View. Fire and EMS personnel evaluated patients for injuries and transported one person to an area hospital. From Aug. 22-29: Peachtree City Fire and Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 53 calls for help. |
