Lady Tigers pick up two wins at home on Tuesday

The Fayette County High School varsity volleyball team hosted their first home matches of the year last Tuesday night.

So far, so good.

They faced Harris County in the first match and won 25-13 and 25-16. Later that evening, they faced Our Lady of Mercy and won 25-12 and 25-23.

The wins bring their overall record up to 4-5.

In an earlier match this season the Lady Tigers lost to Landmark in three games. They won one game 25-23 but lost the other two 25-20, 25-23.

They will start region play on Monday, Aug. 29 with matches against Newnan and Columbus at Newnan at 5 p.m. They will travel to Sandy Creek on Thursday for matches against Sandy Creek and Landmark Christian.
