What do you think of this story? Bad Links? | Villainous Vultures! Its Valiant!2 1/2 Stars Valiant (Ewan MacGregor) is a young pigeon who wants to be in the Royal Homing Pigeon Service (RHPS) in WWII. One day when Valiant sees Commander Gutsy, (played by Hugh Laurie of 101 Dalmatians) who is the boss of the RHPS, he gets really wild and tries to go to see him. The next day in London Valiant meets a free-life bird named Bugsy, voiced by Ricky Gervais, who kind of has a fly problem, which means he looks like he hung out in a dumpster. Meanwhile, the evil General Von Talon (Tim Curry) is trying to get rid of the pigeons. When Valiant gets to the RHPS its one training episode after another, including doing 100 pushups. But when they get an urgent message that the Falcons have captured one of Team Es recruits, they have to go into battle even though they are not done training. Once they get to their destination its really crazy! They meet a French mouse named Charles De Girl, they get chased by falcons, and Valiant shows London that hes a little pigeon who can do big things! This is a pigeon version of WWII, so I liked how I got to go to the movies and learn a little bit about what it was like in WWII. It was like a field trip but I got to go to the movies. 10 year olds who are interested in the army might want to see this for the history since none of us were born in 1944, but 6 year olds might like the humor better. The kind of slapstick humor that you will see is when they fall out of a plane and some get hurt, or when they slam into walls. Warning to parents and or guardians, if you are not expecting some bathroom jokes, expect them, because there is some of it in this movie. Rated G for bathroom humor. | |
