Fire and Emergency Services Downed power lines: At 6:09 p.m. Aug. 15, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to 490 Hood Ave. to secure the area after downed power lines were reported. Unauthorized burning: At 6:33 p.m. Aug. 15, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to an unauthorized burning call at 1425 Redwine Road. Outdoor burning is prohibited from May 1 to Sept. 30. A $500 fine could be imposed on violators. Gas spill: At 9:58 a.m. Aug. 16, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a gas or other flammable liquid spill at 994 Tyrone Road. Building fire: At 1:24 p.m. Aug. 16, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a building fire at 1561 Palmetto-Tyrone Road. Building fire: At 7:31 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a building fire at 132 Old Chapel Lane. Trash fire: At 7:26 p.m. Aug. 20, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a trash fire at 155 Parkwood Lane. From Aug. 15-22: the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services received 126 calls for help. Fayetteville Fire Dept. Gas spill: At 4:23 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas or other flammable liquid spill at 450 N. Glynn St. Downed power lines: At 4:32 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to 110 Woodland Drive to secure the area after downed power lines were reported. Gas leak: At 4:36 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a gas leak at 125 Fox Hunt Court. Electrical wiring problem: At 6:57 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to an electrical wiring problem at Ga. Hwy. 54 & Deer Forest Trail. Downed power lines: At 7:43 p.m. Aug. 17, Fayetteville firefighters responded to Ga. Hwy. 54 & Deer Forest Trail to secure the area after downed power lines were reported. Vehicle fire: At 8:06 p.m. Aug. 20, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 134 Banks Crossing. From Aug. 15-21: Fayetteville Fire Department received 64 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Accident: At 5:03 p.m. Aug. 16, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Wynmeade and Ga. Highway 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. One patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Accident: At 9:10 a.m. Aug. 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at intersection of Line Creek Drive and Ga. Hwy. 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. Two patients were transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Accident: At 1:21 a.m. Aug. 19, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a vehicle accident at intersection of Lexington Circle and Ga. Hwy. 54. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries. One patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Structure fire: At 8:49 p.m. Aug. 20, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to A structure fire at 507 Hastings. Firefighters arrived to find owner had extinguished a stove fire. Fire crews checked for fire extension and the residence was left with occupant. Structure fire: At 8:54 p.m. Aug. 21, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a structure fire at 118 Fairfield Drive. Firefighters arrived to find owner had smelled smoke. Further inquiry found an air conditioning motor overheated and needed replacement. From Aug. 15-21: Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 59 calls for help. |
