Senior adults to take tour of Fox TheaterThe SAGE (senior adults) group at Fayetteville First United Methodist church will leave at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, for a trip to Atlanta and a 10:15 tour of the Fox Theater. Lunch will be at a nearby restaurant. The group will return to the church by 2:30 p.m. Cost of the tour and gas is $9 per person. Each individual will pay for his or her lunch. Grief Share starts Aug. 25Grief Share, a grief support group open to anyone who has lost a loved one, will begin a new fall class on Thursdays, starting Aug. 25, from 6:30-8 p.m. in room 308 of the Peachtree City United Methodist Churchs Robinson Road facility. The 14-week class will meet every Thursday night. The program is Christ-centered and uses a video, workbook, and open discussion format. Facilitators for the class will be Ed Craven, Helen Ragsdale and Lisa Mahaffey. Grantville gospel sings set for Aug. 26, 27This months gospel sings at the Grantville Depot will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Fridays performance will feature Danny Spencer of Newnan, Ladies of Grace of LaGrange, Gail and Marshall White of Grantville, Marie Bulloch of Warm Springs, The Birchfield Family of Manchester, Lavada McCosh of Newnan, and Gods Children of LaGrange. Saturdays performance will feature The High Point Quartet of Dallas, Young Spirit of Manchester, The Second Coming of Griffin, and New Horizons of Thomaston. Patriotic program planned at Woolsey BaptistAmerica We Must Not Forget; A Patriotic Call for Revival in America, will be presented by the Celebration Choir of Woolsey Baptist Church Sunday night, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. The composition was created by Mike Harland with Chris Machen and Luke Garrett, arranged and orchestrated by Richard Kingsmore.
