Tom Key to perform at Wellspring benefit Aug. 27

The Second Annual Wellspring Benefit will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug, 27, at Starr’s Mill High School and will feature Tom Key, star of the “Cotton Patch Gospel,” reciting poetry “from Silverstein to Shakespeare, and Dickens to Dickey.”

Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased from the Wellspring Web site at www.wellspringliving.org, or from area sponsor churches. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.

Guests also will have the opportunity for an introduction to the Wellspring Program, including the Wellspring Home, a residential program for women who need to start over, and The Wellspring Store, an upscale resale shop in the Peachtree East Publix Shopping Center. The store helps provide funding for the home, and relies on the community for tax deductible donations of “gently used” furniture and clothing.
