Fayette chapter among WCR natl. award winners

The Fayette chapter of Women's Council of Realtors is among Gold Level Winners of the organization's prestigious 2004 Chapter Excellence Awards program. The award recognizes WCR chapters for overall excellence in chapter operations and member value. The Fayette WCR chapter is among an elite group of winners at the largest chapter size level.

Points are earned in such areas as membership recruiting and retention, communication of the WCR brand, programs, leadership development, and chapter effectiveness.

Women's Council of Realtors is an organization of real estate professionals which strives to create business opportunities, develop skills for the future, and encourage members' potential for success. Program topics serve as a resource for personal and professional growth, and provide information about local activities of interest to the real estate community.

Recent programs included such diverse topics as an update on local highway construction, effective communication skills, and an economic and housing forecast for Atlanta's Southern Crescent. In addition, the Fayette WCR hosts an annual golf tournament to benefit charities, and donates table decorations from meetings to schools and children's aid organizations.

"It takes a great team to meet this level of excellence," said 2004 Fayette WCR President Stephen Walker. "I enjoy being a part of such a wonderful professional organization. We offer our members - both Realtors and those in the extended real estate community - great programs to expand their knowledge and extensive networking opportunities to help build their businesses."

The Fayette WCR chapter hosts monthly breakfast meetings at the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center. Realtors and professionals in affiliated fields such as appraisal or mortgage are invited to attend.
