Bad Links? | Two-car crash kills Fayetteville woman By LEE WILLIAMS A Fayetteville woman was killed Aug. 5 in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection that is considered a hotbed for serious accidents. Evelyn H. Morrison, 87, of 130 Beaverdam Road, was killed in the collision that occurred at 10:50 a.m. According to information from the Fayetteville Police Department, Morrison was traveling south on Tiger Trail in a blue 1998 Ford Mustang. Morrison was approaching the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Tiger Trail when she allegedly pulled into the path of a white 2002 Ford Econovan driven by Corrie Fern Cutforth, 25, of 1983 Bahama St., Aurora, Colo. Morrison failed to yield, according to police. Cutforth told police she tried to avoid the collision, but her front passenger bumper struck the drivers side of Morrisons vehicle. Morrison died at the scene. |
