Swimmer nets a state title

The Southern Crescent Aquatic Team’s Ariana Berg won her first State Championship title in the 11 - 12 Girls 200 meter breaststroke. She outdistanced herself from the rest of the field by over four seconds. Berg also placed second in the 100 meter breaststroke and fifth in the 50 meter breaststroke. The 14 and Under State Championships were held July 22 - 24 at the Dynamo Swim Center in Chamblee, Georgia.

Berg will attend Booth Middle School this fall. Registration for the fall season with the Southern Crescent Aquatic Team will be held Aug. 18 from 4 - 6 p.m. and Aug. 20 from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center located in Peachtree City.
