Bad Links? | Pegues wins art awardMarianne Pegues, art teacher at Braelinn Elementary School in Peachtree City, was recently nominated to the Original Works Art Institute Spring 2005 Art Honor Roll. Each year the Institute reviews hundreds of thousands of pieces of childrens artwork submitted through the Original Works Program by school classes nationwide. Based on this extensive review, the Art Institute selects the top 5 percent of these schools for inclusion on the Original Works Honor Roll. Winners are named to the honor roll based on such factors as art design, consistency, creativity and overall artistic excellence across all grade levels. During the course of the last year, fewer than 100 schools from across the country were selected for this award. The Original Works Art Institute was established in 1993 as an advocate for art education and recognition. Original Works and The Original Works Art Institute are headquartered in Stillwater, New York and work with schools across the country. |
