Booth PTO named regional winner

The PTO at J.C.Booth Middle School has been named a finalist for PTO Today magazine’s annual contest for selecting the National Parent Group of the Year. Booth’s PTO was named the regional winner for the South.

“The judges said they were very impressed with our programs as well as our proactive responses to events at the school,” said PTO President Cele Eifert.

There are a total of five regional winners from which the national winner is chosen. While Booth’s PTO did not receive the national title, the organization says it is honored to be chosen for the regional award.

As a regional winner, the PTO will receive a $500 cash award as well as gifts from contest sponsor EPI Custom Apparel. The group will also be featured in the September 2005 issue of PTO Today.
