Kathy Brown of Albertville, Ala. and David Adams of McDonough announce the marriage of their daughter, Wendy Hope Adams of Fayetteville, to Jonathan B. Wood of Fayetteville, son of Robert and Mildred Wood. The wedding was held March 14, 2005, on the beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The bride is the granddaughter of Joan B. Neal of Fayetteville and the late Ray V. Neal, and the Carl Adams family of Fayetteville. She is a graduate of Fayette County High School and Georgia State University where she earned a degree in political science. She currently is pursuing a degree in history at Georgia State.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wood. He is a graduate of Fayette County High School and Georgia State University where he earned a degree in finance. He currently is employed as an account executive.
The couple presently resides in Kennesaw.
Walker-White
Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Walker of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Erika Alisabet Walker, to Jeremy Jerome White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome White of Rome.
The bride-to-be is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Georgia of Hobart, N.Y. and Mr. and Mrs. William R. Walker of Gloversville, N.Y. She is a 2003 graduate of Berry College where she received a bachelor of fine arts degree in interdisciplinary studies and is currently attaining a masters of education degree in school guidance counseling.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Simmons of Rome, and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Euelle White of Rockmart. He currently attends Georgia State University and will receive a bachelor of science degree in music industry management.
The wedding will be Aug. 5, 2006, at Frost Chapel on the Berry College campus in Rome.
Harris anniversaries
Hollis and Joyce Harris and their son and daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann and David Harris, celebrated their 50th and 25th anniversaries respectively on July 16 with a dinner dance held at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. The elder Harrises were married July 30, 1955, in Carrollton. The younger Harrises were married July 19, 1980, at the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. The anniversary event was attended by 150 friends and relatives.
