Bad Links? | Voices soughtLandmark Christian School and the Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra will present the southeastern premiere of Alan Menken and Tim Rices King David Oratorio in November as a benefit for the LCS Performing Arts Department. Open vocal auditions are August 13 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Landmarks Fairburn Campus, 50 East Broad Street,. A sign up sheet will be available at 9:30 a.m.; auditions begin at 10 a.m. Audition times are on a first come first serve basis. LCS seeks both male and female strong, versatile vocalists for the ensemble. Prepare one song of your choice and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided or accompaniment tracks are acceptable. A CD/tape player will be provided for recorded accompaniment. If possible, please bring headshot and resume. King David Oratorio utilizes a 50-piece orchestra and a large choir to tell the story of one of Israels greatest kings. It has only performed once in its entirety at the opening of Broadways New Amsterdam Theatre. Performances are scheduled Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 at The Centre for Performing and Visual Arts in Coweta County. Rehearsals begin August 16 and continue on an intermittent basis once or twice a week and possibly weekends.
