Bad Links? | Buckarama back in Atlanta this weekendBuckarama returns to Atlanta Aug. 4-7 and local sportsmen and women are gearing up for the expo which offers interesting seminars, door prizes galore and incredible bargains on must have equipment for hunters and anglers. The 2005 Atlanta Buckarama, presented by the Georgia Wildlife Federation, will feature attractions sich as taxidermy displays, birds of prey exhibits and hunting dog shows. Visitors will also be able to view the world-record Typical Whitetail Deer. This beautiful Buck is being exhibited by Joe Kelly as part of his Big Game Collection. It will be a part of Kellys Southern Whitetail Collection and visitors will be able to sit in on Joes seminars and hear tales of his hunting adventures. Another must-see is Broadrick Heads display of record breaking trophy specimens from around the world. The Atlanta Buckarama has the largest selection of outdoor products in the South, both new and used. There will also be a wide variety of door prizes including guns, camo, deer stands, guided hunting trips, guided fishing trips and more. The 2005 Atlanta Buckarama will take place Aug. 4-7 at the Atlanta Expo Center, I-285, Exit 55. It will be open from 1-9 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for seniors and $4 for kids 6-12. Kids under six are admitted for free and parking is also free. The 2005 Atlanta Buckarama is an educational fundraising event sponsored by the Georgia Wildlife Federation, Georgias oldest and largest conservation organization and the state affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. Founded in 1936 by sportsmen and women, GWF leads the fight to protect Georgias wildlife and other natural resources. Since 1984 the money raised at the Buckaramas has helped support GWFs conservation education efforts, including the highly successful Schoolyard and Backyard Wildlife Habitat programs. |
