Flat Rock A.M.E.s anniversary, homecoming start next weekFlat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church will celebrate its 151st anniversary with a three-day revival and a host of other special events scheduled for Aug 10-14. The theme is Celebrating 151 years of standing on the Rock. A revival will begin Wednesday, Aug. 10 and will continue through Friday, Aug. 12, with services at 7 p.m. nightly. On Sunday, Aug. 14, activities will begin with Sunday school at 10 a.m., followed by a special youth worship with the Rev. Walter Daniels, presiding elder for the South Atlanta District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Following worship, a Welcome Home dinner will be served from 1 - 2:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., the special anniversary worship service begins, featuring as guest pastor the Rev.
