Bad Links? | Lesser, Chance to speak at chamber eventGeorgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Craig Lesser and State Senator Ronnie Chance will speak to community and business leaders at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m. Leading Georgia's efforts to be the best place to live, work and visit, Commissioner Lesser is working to promote the development and advancement of tourism, business, and industry in the state. Lesser was appointed Commissioner of the GDEcD July 1, 2004. Lesser will address recent trade missions and the criticality of globally thinking for businesses wishing to grow. He will also highlight legislative successes and will discuss plans for continued increased visibility for Georgia through an aggressive rebranding effort. Sen. Chance was first elected to the Georgia Senate from the 16th district in 2004 and serves Lamar, Pike, part of Fayette, Monroe and Spalding counties. He and Commissioner Lesser spent a lot of time together and built a strong working relationship during the 2005 Georgia Legislative Session. This event is open to the public.
