Bad Links? | Wildcats and Tigers do well at Linemans Challenge By MICHAEL BOYLAN Velocity Sports performance held their second annual Linemans Challenge on Saturday, July 16. Numerous athletes competed at the complex in Peachtree City and local football players represented their schools and the county well. In the 135 lb. bench press - J.V. division, Fayette Countys Rusty Bundrum placed third with 16 reps. His teammate, Jared Koenig, won the 40 yard dash - J.V. division, with a time of 5.09 seconds, placed second in the pro agility drill with a time of 4.59 seconds, second in the vertical jump with a jump of 20.5 and second in the standing broad jump with a jump of 710. He also placed third in the Obstacle Course - J.V. division with a time of 60 seconds. In the varsity division, Whitewaters Tim Jones placed first in the varitcal jump with a jump of 28.5, second in the 185 lb. bench press with 21 reps, second in the 40 yard dash with a time of 4.88 seconds, second in pro agility with a time of 4.38 seconds and second in standing broad jump with a jump of 91. Fayette Countys Cameron Panther took first in the 40 yard dash with a time of 4.84 seconds, first in the pro agility with a time of 4.37, first in the obstacle course with a time of 52 seconds, third in the standing broad jump with a jump of 89.5 and third in the vertical jump with a jump of 27. In the Velocity Sports Performance Hummer Push JV Division, a combination of athletes from Northgate, Fayette County and Whitewater won with a time of 25.95. |
