Bad Links? | Pioneers blaze a trail on tracks across the nation, end regular season at AAAG FestivalDespite the heat and humidity, the SouthSide Pioneers Track & Field Club concluded its regular season at the First AAAG Sports Festival meet with outstanding performances from the following athletes: Bantam Girls: Midget Boys: Youth Girls: Youth Boys: Intermediate Girls: Joy Ferrell: 100MH, first place; High Jump, second place; Long Jump, second place. The team will conclude its season with athletes representing at the following National Championship meets: 2005 USATF Junior Olympics (Indianapolis, IN): Austin Enriquez (3000M; 1500M); Graylin Ward (High Jump) 2005 State Games of America (Colorado Springs, CO): David Mathis (200M, 400M, 4x1, 4x4); James Mathis (Javelin, Discus) 2005 AAU Junior Olympics (New Orleans, LA): Joshua Ferrell (Outdoor Pentathlon); Joy Ferrell (Heptathlon, 100MH, 400MH, High Jump, Long Jump); Zach Lovett (1,500 M and 800M). This season, athletes of SouthSide Pioneers Track & Field Club represented the following schools: Booth Middle School, Fayette County High School, Fayette Middle School, Flat Rock Middle School, Madras Middle School, Sandy Creek High School, McIntosh High School, North Fayette Elementary School, Northgate High School, Rising Starr Middle School, Sandy Creek High School, Starr's Mill High School, Westminster Academy, Whitewater High School. |
