New business gives back to communityThe latest in orthodontics is now more readily available to Fayette County families since Pickron Orthodontic Care recently opened its doors at 100 Carnegie Place. As one of Fayettevilles newest businesses to the area, the private practice run by Dr. Javonne White is participating in Pickrons Project Smile, a community outreach program in which patients who have broken retainers write a check to one of five charities, instead of to Pickron Orthodontic Care. In addition, Pickron will match contributions dollar-for-dollar. To date, Pickron and its patients have donated over $32,000. The new office brings the latest advances in orthodontics, is patient-oriented, offers affordable payment options and has a lifetime guarantee. Prospective patients interested in the Fayetteville office may call 770-448-8882 or visit www.pickron.com. Dr. White received her Bachelor of Science degree from Spelman College in Atlanta in 1995 and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College-School of Dentistry in Nashville in 2000. She then studied an additional three years to receive a masters degree in oral sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago-Graduate College and a postdoctoral degree in the specialty of orthodontics. She graduated cum laude, was on the National Deans List and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the National Dental Association. A native of North Carolina, Dr. White now resides in Fayette County. She enjoys reading, tennis, traveling and spending time with family and friends. | ||
