Bad Links? | Hospital lauded for tech usePiedmont Fayette Hospital has been named one of the most wired hospitals in the nation, according to a recent survey. The study was designed to recognize healthcare systems that effectively use technology to transition from paper files to electronic medical records to achieve clinical and operational excellence. Much of the emphasis was on the use of online technology. The survey was conducted by Hospitals and Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association, in collaboration with IDX Systems Corporation and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. The most wired designation was also awarded to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, which is affiliated with Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Nearly 1,250 hospitals and healthcare systems participated in the survey. Only 100 were picked for the most wired designation. |
