Bad Links? | BBQ fundraiser set for Fayette free clinicFayette Countys first free clinic for the working poor and underinsured will host a barbecue fund-raiser at its future location Saturday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The Fayette CARE Clinic is located at 125 Sumner Road, just off Ga. Highway 54 West and across from the Coweta-Fayette EMC building between Fayetteville and Peachtree City. This is the publics first chance to tour the clinic, which will open in the fall to offer free medical and dental care to Fayettes uninsured working poor. The event also will feature entertainment such as singer-storyteller Andy Offutt Irwin, amazing dog tricks from the K-9 Coach and face painting from the local Girl Scouts of America. Advance meal tickets are $5 each and can be purchased online at www.fayettecareclinic.com, from any CARE Clinic board member or from Administrative Director Jennifer Pate at 678-358-2566. Tickets are $7 at the door, and the food will be available to enjoy on-site or for take-out. |
