Towne Village opens second phaseOver 100 Henry County government officials and area realtors attended the recent grand opening of the second phase of Towne Village, which, according to on-site sales associate Jack Etress, is the fastest selling townhome development in Henry County as recorded in the Georgia Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Just three homes remain in the 70-home phase one and three families have already moved into the 75-home phase two with two more families expected to move into the new phase by the end of the month, Etress said. "Approximately 25 percent of our home owners in phase one are educators," Etress said. "We have a wonderfully diverse mix of residents - small business entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, retirees and young professionals. It has been an inspiring experience to watch the community come to life over the past year or so." Towne Village is just two miles from Interstate 75 and two miles from the picturesque, tree-lined square in downtown McDonough, the county seat of Henry County. Towne Village's sidewalks and streetlights add to the feeling of neighborhood and community. Priced from $119,900 to $128,900, Towne Village offers two-bedroom, two-bath ranch plans, two-bedroom, two and one-half bath two-story plans, and three-bedroom, two and one-half bath two-story plans. The homes contain from 1,400 to 1,850 sq. ft. in heated space, and all include a 240-sq. ft. one-car garage. The homes contain a long list of standard features, including white or stained oak cabinets, ceiling fans in the master bedroom and greatroom, cable outlets in all bedrooms and greatroom, two-piece chairrail in the dining room, an installed security system, copper plumbing, a pantry (per plan), a Hotpoint stove, venthood and dishwasher, a four-ft. shower with a seat, and upgraded carpet pads. The exteriors of the homes are composed of low maintenance vinyl with brick or stucco accents, and the builder chooses all exterior colors. Front and back lawns are sodded, and the homes have covered porches and patios. The home owner association fee includes lawn care. Towne Village has underground utilities, and a mailbox and post come with each home. John Christian Homes, which is building the homes, is working with Stan Cameron to develop the community.
