Barrington receives CCIM designation

Kathy Barrington, commercial associate broker, is the first Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate broker support member to receive her designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and one of only 400 CCIMs in Georgia.

A CCIM is an expert in commercial and investment real estate and is one of the most respected designations in the industry. In fact, only six percent of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold a CCIM.

Barrington has 25 years of commercial real estate experience with areas of expertise in commercial, limited partnerships and syndications of land, office buildings, apartment properties, and hotels.

To earn a CCIM, Barrington had to complete almost six weeks of commercial investment real estate classes, document her experience level, in addition to passing an exam and becoming a member of the CCIM Institute.

Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate has almost tripled in size in three years with 19 metro Atlanta offices and more than 2,300 licensees, which makes the company the largest license holder in the state of Georgia.
