Bad Links? | Local DAR chapter wins Southeast special awardBy CAROLYN CARY The Fayette-Starrs Mill chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has won a Special Award in the Southeastern division for a chapter under 51 members. It was presented the award at Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. last week. It was the only chapter in Georgia to be recognized in their division for its outstanding constitution week activities. The group was organized only a year and a half ago. At a State Conference it took first place for Chapter Achievement for a chapter under 51 members and also first place in its category Largest Membership Increase. Genealogical assistance is provided. Meetings are the second Monday at 7 p.m. in members homes in Peachtree City and Fayetteville. |
