Bad Links? | Tiger has several win world championships in San AntonioBy MICHAEL BOYLAN Tiger Martial Arts continues to rack up the accolades at world class Tae Kwon Do competitions. The school from Fayetteville had three of its athletes crowned worl champion gold medalists and two more capture silver medals at the world championships. Savannah Jordan took home her third world championship at the competition, which was held in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Jordan, competing in the 10-11 division, is a second degree black belt and a junior instructor at the school. Immanuel Larry, a blue belt, won his first world championship in the 6-7 division, while Chris Martin, a silver medalist last year, won gold this year in the 12-13 division. Martins brother Matt was a world champion silver medalist in 12-13, while Vincent Torre Washington, a red belt with black stripe, took home silver in the 8-9 division. The Martin brothers are also red belts with black stripes. The team is coached by Master Instructor Kojak who is assisted by Naila Al-Sack. Kojak was proud of his students who competed againt the cream of the crop from national qualifiers all over the United States. Tiger will be sending a group of athletes to the North American Open in las Vegas in August where they will compete against participants from 46 countries around the world including Japan and South Korea.
