Animal case: A Peachtree City man reported he saw horses on the golf cart path around Kimzey Court about 4:15 June 26. Police checked, but did not see any horses. Fayette Co. Fire and Emergency Services Carbon dioxide alarm: At 8:14 a.m. June 30, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a carbon dioxide alarm at 1358 N. 92 Highway. The alarm was caused by a system malfunction. Downed power lines: At 2:43 p.m. July 1, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a downed power lines call at 890 Grant Road. Lighting strike: At 5:42 p.m. July 1, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a lightning strike at 182 Castlewood Road. No fire resulted. Downed power lines: At 6:42 p.m. July 1, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a downed power lines call at 890 Grant Road. Chemical hazard: At 2:07 p.m. July 2, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a chemical hazard at 287 Old Greenville Road. Lightning strike: At 7:45 p.m. July 3, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a lightning strike at 110 Olivia Court. Fire safety education: At 12:57 p.m. July 4, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel provided fire safety education at Evander Holyfields home at 795 279 Hwy. during a big cook-out the boxer holds on Independence Day. Attempted burning: At 10:52 p.m. July 4, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to an attempted burning or illegal action call at 360 West Lane. A neighbor saw a burning mattress inside the double-wide trailer and pulled it out. The fire could be suspicious in nature, officials said. Gas leak: At 1:17 a.m. July 5, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to a gas leak at 200 White Oak Way. From July 29-July 5: the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services received 107 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Golf Cart Accident: At 10:13 a.m. June 27, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue responded to a golf cart accident at 320 Kensington Drive. Fire and EMS personnel transported one patient to a hospital. Accident: At 8:49 a.m. June 28, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue responded to a motor vehicle collision at Crosstown Road and Peachtree Parkway. Fire and EMS personnel transported two patients to area hospitals. Golf Cart Accident: At 8:38 p.m. June 28, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue responded to a golf cart accident at 244 Hampton Green. Fire and EMS personnel evaluated for injuries. No one was transported to the hospital. Fire alarm: At 11:51 a.m. June 30, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue responded to 252 Smokerise Trace for an activated fire alarm. The alarm was due to a system malfunction. Golf Cart Accident: At 3:07 p.m. July 1, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue responded to 206 Willowbend Road for a golf cart accident. Fire and EMS personnel transported one patient to a hospital. Brush Fire: At 8:38 p.m. July 3, Peachtree City Fire and Rescue responded to a brush fire at McIntosh Trail and Peachtree Parkway. Fire personnel extinguished the fire. Lighting Strike: At 8:09 p.m. July 3, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel responded to 368 Loring Lane for a reported lighting strike. Fire personnel investigated and left residence in care of homeowner. From June 27-July 4: Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 48 calls for help. Arrests and fire reports were limited due to the Fourth of July holiday. |
