Bad Links? | Isakson to host reception next week for academy appointeesU.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) will host a reception July 12 to honor 39 Georgia high school students who were recently awarded appointments to the United States Military Service Academies. I am honored to be able to offer so many of our best and brightest individuals the opportunity to serve our country by attending one of our outstanding military service academies and fulfilling their military obligations, Isakson said. I know these promising young leaders will make Georgia and America proud. The annual selection of young people to our nations military academies is the responsibility of each Member of Congress. Appointees are each awarded full four-year scholarships, which include tuition, books, board, medical and dental care. The reception for the students and their families will be at 1:30 p.m. July 12 at Isaksons Georgia office, One Overton Park, 3625 Cumberland Blvd. in Atlanta. The event is open to the media.
