Bad Links? | Jazz comes to FairburnBy BEN NELMS It is intended to be a celebration featuring mellow music in the cool of the evening in Duncan Park July 2 when the City of Fairburn hosts Jazz in the Park. The free Jazz in the Park concert will begin at 6 p.m. on the lawn facing the lake, said Parks and recreation coordinator Melody Barnes, and continue until dark. Featured acts in the July 4 celebration will include PHD Jazz Band and Hizer Jazz, Barnes said. The City of Fairburn wants the July 4 celebration to be a time for the city to show its appreciation to its citizens by putting on this free concert, Barnes said. We want everyone to come out and relax and enjoy an evening in the park. Though sodas and water will be on hand, Barnes invited everone to bring their picnic basket and lawn chairs and enjoy the music and the mood that Duncan Park provides. |
