Bad Links? | Kingdom Productions hosts gospel music talent searchKingdom Productions is inviting all unsigned gospel music artists to participate in its first-ever Kingdom Gospel Music Talent Search September 17 at 7 p.m. at Ray of Hope Christian Church, located at 2778 Snapfinger Road in Decatur. The deadline to register for the competition is June 30, 2005. Ten to 12 contestants will compete for the grand prize that includes $1,000 cash and four hours of demo recording time, four hours of demo mixing time, and a recording contract option with MCG Records, the home of Stellar Award winner Lee Williams and the Spiritual QCs, Grammy nominee Helen Baylor. Artist categories consist of soloist, duets, trios, quartettes and ensembles, with each performance being limited to five minutes. There is no age limit for this competition. Soloists and groups can register online at www.kingdom-productions.net or by calling 770-469-5788. The focus of the Kingdom Gospel Music Talent Search is to simply, KEEP GOSPEL MUSIC ALIVE and to present an opportunity for aspiring gospel music artist to receive exposure that will propel their careers to the next level, said Kingdom Productions promoter Deborah L. Asbury. Whether the gospel artists style is contemporary or traditional, they are encouraged to compete. The event is being sponsored by Comcast Corporation and Infashion Menswear Outlets. A portion of the Kingdom Gospel Music Talent Search proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
