PTC UMC men, Kiwanis plan July Fourth Chicken-QueThe Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City and the Methodist Mens Fellowship of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will combine forces for the second annual Community Chicken-Que, Monday, July 4, following the Peachtree City Independence Day Parade. The event will be held at the churchs Windgate campus on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Windgate Road. Last year more than 1,500 customers were served. The menu includes half a chicken, baked beans and cole slaw. Drinks also will be available. Take-out picnic boxes will be available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. All tickets are $6.50 and are available now from any Methodist Mens Fellowship or Kiwanis member. The Methodist men will donate all their proceeds to the construction of a Scout Lodge on the Robinson Road church property. The lodge will be used by all area Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.
