Bad Links? | LOFAS help get The Avenues new Summer Concert Series up and runningFor six weeks starting June 23, The Avenue in Peachtree City will feature live musical performances every Thursday evening from 5 - 8 p.m. on the green surrounding the gazebo. The first annual Summer Concert Series begins with a cultural arts show featuring 10 fine artists from the League of Fine Artists South (LOFAS) along with the Panorama Steel Orchestra playing Latin influenced music throughout the evening. Every week is a different musical group. The Summer Concert Series continues each Thursday evening from June 9-July 14 at The Avenue. The artists and photographers will display their works inside and surrounding the gazebo. Visitors are invited to meander throughout the green space where an art garden will be created. All the art is for sale. Working artists will display various media techniques during the event, and visitors are encouraged to interact with the artists. The League will show their varied art work, as well as demonstrate different art processes. Everyone in the group is highly qualified with lots of experience & excellent work. said Dede Gautier, a local photographer, in an e-mail about the event. It's gonna turn into something great for all of the community. Visitors to the event may bring lawn chairs and a picnic. The Avenue Ambassadors will distribute bottled water and balloons. Please, no alcoholic beverages. The League of Fine Artist- South (LOFAS) supports fine artists and promotes the appreciation of fine art on the Southside.
