Bad Links? | 1 man killed, another injured in Ebenezer Road collisionBy LEE WILLIAMS One person was killed and another man injured Friday in a two-car accident on Ebenezer Road in unincorporated Fayette County. Robert Andrejko, 55, of Fayetteville, the driver of a 1996 Ford Thunderbird, was traveling south on Ebenezer Road about 3:30 p.m. when he ran off the road onto a gravel shoulder at 123 Ebenezer Rd. Andrejko lost control of his Thunderbird and entered the northbound lane, striking a 2004 Porsche head-on. The Porsche was driven by William Darrell Martin, 57, of Peachtree City. Mr. Andrejko, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained severe injuries and was transported by ambulance to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Fayette County Sheriffs Department Traffic Enforcement Director Lt. Col. Wayne Hannah said in a prepared statement. Mr. Martin, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was also transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Hannah said. Both men were traveling alone. No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation, Hannah said. No charges have been filed at this point in the investigation. Fridays fatality marks the second traffic-related fatality in unincorporated Fayette County this year, Hannah said. |
