HBA to host campaign schoolThe Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association has announced a Campaign School for political candidates in Georgia Wednesday, June 29, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at The Housing Center, 1484 Brockett Road in Tucker. "The Greater Atlanta HBA Campaign School is a practical nuts-and-bolts approach to planning your campaign, including raising money, planning your time, and recruiting support from the community," said David Ellis, HBA executive vice president. The non-partisan Campaign School, designed to provide candidates with the practical insight and information necessary to conduct successful campaigns, will feature breakout sessions with topics including campaign planning and budgeting; troubleshooting; fundraising; recruiting and managing volunteers; voter contact; and voter targeting and lists. "As one of the largest professional associations in metro Atlanta and the nation, the Greater Atlanta HBA understands the need for quality candidates to access the tools they need to become effective leaders," said Ellis. "We're committed to providing essential resources for community leaders who want to become government leaders."
