Bad Links? | Store to send giant card to Lance ArmstrongBy MICHAEL BOYLAN Judging by the notes on the giant card at Bicycles Unlimited, there is still a lot of love for Lance Armstrong in Fayette County. It has been nearly two months since the Dodge Tour de Georgia passed through the county but interest in cycling is still riding high. The owners of Bicycles Unlimited decided to encourage that interest and will send a card to Lance Armstrong wishing him luck in this years Tour de France, which Armstrong states will be his last. After seeing the response to the Tour de Georgia and seeing that it was not just cyclists, we wanted to get the county invovled again, said Karen Anderson, the General Manager of Bicycles Unlimited. They have what may be the largest card that Armstrong has ever received and will send it out to the Lance Armstrong Foundation by Friday, June 24. They are also trying to raise a $700 donation for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, $100 for every Tour de France championship he has won and $100 for what they hope will be his seventh title. He has been such an inspiration to so many people, we just want to give something back, added Anderson. The card will be up for at least another week and anyone can sign it.
