Bad Links? | Students at Burch enjoy wax museumA longstanding tradition continues to wow students at Robert J. Burch Elementary. Each year the fifth grade enrichment students present a wax museum highlighting famous people. This years museum, which carried the theme People of Achievement, featured notable Americans from entertainers and athletes to inventors and educators. Some notable people the students chose to include this year were Frank Sinatra, Helen Keller, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Oprah Winfrey. In preparation for the wax museum production, students wrote reports, created visuals and designed costumes that reflected their person of choice. The students stood in still poses while the student body and visitors from the community walked through the museum, which was setup in the schools media center. Enrichment teachers Katy Linteris and Lynne Thomason were in charge of the production. |
