Bad Links? | Combines this summer for female athletesAfter several years of testing football hopefuls looking to play in college, the GACA Coaches Combine has partnered with GaSports.com to offer the same opportunity to the female athletes around the state. The next four Saturdays will see the GACA Coaches Combine travel around the state to test the female athletes from all sports who hope to continue their athletic career at the college level. The girls will perform the same skill events as the boys with a few minor adjustments. The girls will bench press 75lbs for a maximum number of reps. After running a 40 yard dash, the girls second sprint will be 20 yards. All data collected will be available to college coaches across the nation, along with other personal information supplied by the athletes. Here are the sites for the Girls Coaches Combines: Georgia Tech - June 11; Columbus State - June 18; East Hall High School, Gainesville - June 25; Armstrong Atlantic University, Savannah - July 2. There is a $15 registration fee for each athlete, $25 for walk-ups. Athletes can register at www.GaSports.com.
