Bad Links? | Roberson wins robot competitionTyler Roberson attended Battle Beach robot competition in April at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Fla. There were ten different weight categories of robots that ranged from 150 grams to 340 pounds. Roberson competed in the 12-pound category with his newly designed robot, National Razor. This robot was named after the guillotine in the French Revolution, as Tyler hoped for a quick execution of his robot opponents. The style of competition was round-robin, in which Tyler battled each competitor in his robot weight category. After no losses, Tyler won first place in this category with prizes including a trophy and a speed controller (valued at $250), that will be utilized for future robots. Robersons next robot adventure will be July 1 in New Orleans.
