More cycling events this summer

Fans of the 2005 Dodge Tour de Geogia who did not get enough cycling are encouraged to check out the Atlanta Invitational at Turner Field on Saturday, July 2.

The Atlanta Invitational is a Criterium, which is a timed road race that runs on a closed 1.1 mile course. The team that makes the most laps in 60 minutes wins the race and winners will receive a total of $15,000 in prizes. A portion of the proceeds from the race will go to the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

The Atlanta Invitational begins Saturday, July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. The event will host more than 350 riders from around the world. 25,000-plus spectators are expected to line the streets along the course.
