Bad Links? | Planning Comm. defers decision on number of animalsBy JOHN THOMPSON Kim Finck has to wait another month until she learns the fate of her five pets. Last Thursday, the Planning Commission deferred action on amending the countys number of animals allowed in the county. Finck had brought the action before the County Commission and acting county administrator Chris Venice sent it to the Planning Commission for discussion. Finck told the planners that she had always taken care of her five animals and didnt know there was a limit of three animals in the unincorporated county. Venice said the cities currently allow three to four areas in the denser areas, so it could make sense to increase the density in the less populated areas of the county. The Planning Commission ultimately decided to defer the decision until they could define what an animal is and look at ordinances in some adjacent counties. |
