Fville United Methodist to offer MAD camp for kidsThe Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer MAD Camp, a Music, Arts and Discovery Adventure for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade, Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, from 9 a.m. until noon at the church. The fee is $100 plus a $25 registration fee. Those registering by June 12 receive a $5 discount. The week-long adventure allows children to experience music from around the world, explore the arts, and discover ways the arts are used in everyday life. During the camp children will: Learn the music of other countries while discovering arts and crafts that are unique to different areas of the world. Learn how to capture and compose great photos. Create a radio or television commercial for a new product. Learn to work for a television station. People in the industry will share what they do and the skills they needed to succeed in the business. Learn about the culinary arts and create a unique display of food. Learn about how products are packaged and design their own wrapping paper. Write their own song to share with the world. Learn and enjoy some music games that even their parents cant do. Explore different art mediums clay, paint, paper mache and more. Design and produce their own, original T-shirt. The church is on Lanier Ave. (Ga. Hwy. 54 West).
