Youth Encounter 2005 night of worship series starts June 1The Fayette Area Youth Ministers Association will participate in the popular Encounter 2005 night of worship series which begins Wednesday, June 1, from 7:30 - 9 p.m. The event will run every Wednesday night from June 1 through July 27 at New Hope Baptist Church, south campus, on Ga. This summer, as a one time only special edition, there will be an Encounter 2005 event on Wednesday, June 22, from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville. Randy Bruno, Fellowship of Christian Athletes area director and coordinator of Encounter 2005 describes the night of worship as an energy-filled worship experience designed to appeal to high school and college students in the community. Middle school students and adults also are welcome to attend. Students will be encouraged to deepen their faith and strengthen their walk with Jesus Christ, added Bruno. This summers guest speakers are all from Fayette County churches and include: June 1 - Keith Brown, Crosspoint Community Church; June 8 - Jake Dukes, New Hope Baptist Church, north campus; June 29 - Andrew Hill, Grace Evangelical Church and Steve Geyer, Heritage Christian Church, who will speak at the remaining six events. We want to help students understand what they have received in Christ, who they are now because of Christ and how they can live from this new identity, Bruno said.
