Theft: Rusty Brown of Granite Transformations, 116 N. 85 Parkway, #A, reported someone stole a drill bit, rotor, black box, cordless drill, black saw, jam saw and a dremel, all valued at $710, from the business. Burglary: Greg Wallis, 31, of South Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, reported someone entered his home and stole items including jewelry and money, all valued at $685. Peachtree City Police Dept. Theft: Ray Glass of Rack Room Shoes, 200 City Circle, Peachtree City, reported someone stole a pair of white K-Swiss sneakers, valued at $54.99. Fayette Co. Fire and Emergency Services Downed power lines: At 12:27 May 10, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to Ga. Highway 85 and Highway 85 Connector after downed power lines were reported. Controlled burn: At 3:18 p.m. May 10, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an unauthorized controlled burn call at 105 Misty Forest Drive. Outdoor burning is prohibited from May 1 to Sept. 30. A $500 fine could be imposed on violators. Controlled burn: At 12:10 a.m. May 12, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an unauthorized controlled burn call at 247 Hilo Road. Controlled burn: At 11:26 p.m. May 12, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to an unauthorized controlled burn call at 105 Sheldon Way. Gas leak: At 10:45 a.m. May 16, Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a gas leak at Ga. Highway 314 and 138. From May 10-17: Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel received 193 calls for help. Fayetteville Fire Dept. Electrical wiring problem: At 4:40 p.m. May 10, Fayetteville firefighters responded to an electrical wiring problem at 110 Brandywine Blvd. Lightning strike: At 5:13 p.m. May 10, Fayetteville firefighters responded to 155 Berkley Place after lightning struck the structure. The department assisted county firefighters as part of the joint automatic and mutual aid pacts. Smoke scare: At 11:33 p.m. May 12, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a smoke scare at 260 Hilo Road. Outside equipment fire: At 1:37 p.m. May 14, Fayetteville firefighters responded to an outside equipment fire at 215 Williamsburg Way. The department assisted county firefighters as part of the joint automatic and mutual aid pacts. From May 9-16: Fayetteville firefighters received 47 calls for help. Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Accident: At 7:47 a.m. May 9, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Ga. Highway 74 and Wisdom Road. Firefighters and EMS extricated the victims using the jaws of life from the two-car collision. Rescue Air One helicopter transported one victim to an Atlanta hospital. Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulances transported two more patients to area hospitals. Accident: At 5:59 p.m. May 10, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Peachtree Parkway and Loring Lane. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and one victim was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital. Brush fire: At 5:04 p.m. May 11, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a brush fire on Stevens Entry near Glenlock Recreation Center. A small brush fire was in progress and was quickly extinguished. Further investigation resulted in small children admitting they had accidentally started the fire. Industrial injury: At 7:49 a.m. May 12, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an emergency at 319 Dividend Drive. Firefighters and EMS personnel assessed the patient and decided to transport patient via Rescue Air One. Patient was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to Falcon Field where Rescue Air One is based. Accident: At 11:07 a.m. May 12, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to an accident at Ga. Highway 74 and Senoia Road. Firefighters and EMS personnel checked for injuries and one victim was transported by Peachtree City Fire/Rescue ambulance to a local hospital and Rescue Air One transported another patient to an Atlanta hospital. Fire alarm: At 3:11 a.m. May 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at Home Depot, 2715 Highway 54. The alarm was false and unintentional. Fire alarm: At 4:33 a.m. May 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at Wal-Mart, 2715 Highway 54. The alarm was false and unintentional. Fire alarm: At 6:29 a.m. on May 15th 2005, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to reported fire alarm at 618 Highway 74. The Alarm was false and unintentional. Fire alarm: At 10:58 a.m. May 15, Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to a fire alarm at 350 Dividend Drive. The Alarm was unintentional and caused by a damaged sprinkler head. From May 9-16: Peachtree City Fire/Rescue personnel and equipment responded to 56 calls for help. |
