Religion BriefsSt. Gabriel to break ground for new churchParishioners of the Catholic Church of St. Gabriel met recently to make plans for the groundbreaking for their new Church. Groundbreaking festivities will begin with a Mass on June 14 followed by a social. The church is at 152 Antioch Road off Highway 92 South in Fayetteville. Father Jimmy Adams is pastor. Patriots Quartet featured at SS Baptist SundaySouthside Baptist Church will feature the Patriots Quartet, along with other gospel groups, at its free Gospel Singing Night this Sunday, May 15, at 6 p.m. Southside Baptist is at 1332 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, a mile and a half south of the Fayetteville city limits. Faith Lutheran Preschool sets open houseFaith Lutheran Preschool will host an open house Sunday, May 15, from 2-5 p.m. The church/school is located at 575 Fischer Road in Coweta County. Peachland Quartet coming to FFUMCTickets are on sale now for the upcoming gospel concert featuring the Atlanta-based Peachland Quartet scheduled for Saturday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $10 each and will not be sold at the door. Only 550 tickets are available. Proceeds will benefit the churchs transportation fund.
