Bad Links? | Chance to lead Cagle campaign in FayetteState Sen. Casey Cagle announced this week that fellow state Sen. Ronnie Chance will help lead the Fayette County efforts in Cagles campaign for lieutenant governor. Chance is part of a group of 23 senators from across Georgia who are supporting Cagle in his bid. Cagle is the second-longest serving Republican member of the Georgia Senate and chairs the Finance Committee. This race will be won or lost at the grassroots, and I am committed to reaching out to every Georgia voter from one end of the state to the other, said Cagle. I am pleased to have the strong support of Sen. Chance as we build an organization to take our message of better jobs, lower taxes, and respect for traditional values to every community in Georgia. Chance, a Republican, was first elected to the Georgia Senate from the 16th District in 2004. He serves Lamar, Pike, part of Fayette, Monroe and Spalding counties. Chance is currently serving on the Veterans and Military Affairs, Reapportionment and Redistricting, Higher Education, Economic Development committees, and he is Secretary of the Finance Committee. Chance has served as an advisor to dozens of elected officials, including congressmen Mac Collins, Johnny Isakson, and Phil Gingrey, as well as U.S. Sen. Bob Dole, Georgia School Superintendent Kathy Cox, Public Service Commissioner Bobby Baker, former House Republican Leader Lynn Westmoreland, and scores of other state, local, and county officers.
