Bad Links? | Fundriasers hit the bricksEast Coweta High Schools Band Boosters have renewed a campaign offering engraved bricks to individuals, groups, clubs, and businesses to retire the debt incurred for new uniforms. A $50 donation will purchase an engraved name on a brick which will pave the ECHS campus. Brick sales have begun and will run through July 31, 2005. Angela Arnett, project chairperson, said that over the summer months a brick garden will be constructed between the current band room and the sidewalk. She said that the organizations goal is to sell 1,000 bricks. The ECHS band booster organization is organized as a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and all donations are tax deductible. Anyone purchasing a brick will have their name or organization displayed prominently in the band room, and will receive a certificate of participation. All bricks are 4 x 8 and may have up to two lines of engraving with 14 characters per line. Bricks are $50 each and will preserve a message of the band program for generations to come. A patron may purchase a brick in memory or in honor of someone, or just to show support. A sample brick is on display in the band room at East Coweta High School, and order forms are available from Mary Collins, music secretary (770-254-2850), or you may visit the bands web site at http://www.echsmi.org and print off a form. Order forms are also available at the Kroger store at Thomas Crossroads. If you have any questions regarding this project you may contact Angela Arnett (770-252-9334) or e-mail arnett3@bellsouth.net.
