Bad Links? | Major development underway south of Senoia By JOHN THOMPSON Eastern Coweta Countys newest development is being carved out a former game preserve. Fayette realtor Jan Trammell is developing Walden Pond near the intersection of Rockhouse Road and Gordon Road. Trammell said nearly 750 acres will be developed to create an amenity-laden subdivision. We plan on having walking paths, a pool and picnic areas for the residents, Trammell said. The land was once a game preserve for developer Stan Thomas and Trammell wants to preserve the integrity of the property. There will be no clear-cutting. We want to preserve as much of the beauty of the property that we can, she added. The homes will be 2,400 sq.ft and price at $250,000 and up. The homestyles will be Southern-style with brick and stone accents and front porches. Preliminary work has already started on the first phase, which features 99 homes. the minimum lot size is 1.3 acres, but there will be a variety of lot sizes. Trammel expects the development to be finished over a five-year period. |
