Gym South teams rock at Woodstock meet

Gym South's level 2 and 3 team competed in the March into Spring Invitational in Woodstock, Apr. 16-17 and according to the coaches, both teams “had an awesome meet.”

The level 3 team placed second with a team score of 112.25. Sarah McCullough placed first on vault, third on bars and sixth on floor & AA. Mackenzie Carlson, placed third on vault and bars, fourth on floor and fifth on beam. Hannah Hancock placed eighth on vault and beam, ninth on bars, second on floor with a 9.6 and sixth AA. Ansley McDaniels placed second on vault, bars and AA and fourth on beam and floor. Aliyah Reeves placed second on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam, first on floor with a 9.7 and fourth AA. Emerald Hoe placed fifth on vault, sixth on bars, third on beam & floor and fourth AA. De'ja Carter-Jackson placed seventh on beam and bars and eighth AA.

The level 2’s placed third as a team. Tsali Nidey placed ninth on vault and AA and fifth on beam. Brenna Elliot placed sixth on vault and beam second on bars and floor and fourth AA. Ashleigh Bailey placed first on vault, second on bars fourth on floor and third on beam. Katie Smith placed first on bars, second on beam & AA and third on floor. Rachel Llewlleyn placed second on vault, fourth on bars, second on floor and sixth AA. Tyler Hicks placed placed third on vault & AA, sixth on bars, and fourth on beam. Anaia Hood placed fifth on vault, third on bars, second AA and on beam and first on floor. Aspen Nidey placed sixth on vault, third on bars & beam and sixth AA.

Congratulations to Brittney Hodges who competed in her first Level 6 meet. She won the competitiion and scored out of Level 6.

The Level 2’s and 3’s who will compete in their state meet on Apr. 30 - May 1 in Conyers.
