Bad Links? | Busy days head for local baseball teamsThe weather is playing havoc with the high school baseball schedule once again. Showers last Friday cancelled a slate of games and their make up dates, most scheduled for yesterday, were in doubt as well because of rain. Four local teams got some games in on Monday as Starrs Mill beat Lovejoy 5-0, McIntosh got a huge 13-0 win over Woodward Academy on the Chiefs senior night, Sandy Creek lost to Northgate 6-5 and Whitewater fell to Creekside 10-8. Sandy Creeks game against Woodward Academy on Friday was postponed until Saturday. The Patriots took care of business by defeating Woodward 4-3 but took a sub-region loss to Northgate on Monday. They are 5-3 in the sub-region with games at Creekside this afternoon and at Whitewater on Friday at 5 p.m. Starrs Mill will play at East Coweta today at 5:30 p.m. and will play at Fayette County on Friday at 7 p.m. McIntosh will play at Northgate today at 5 p.m. and will play at Whitewater tomorrow at 4 p.m. Whitewater will have a busy three days, hosting Woodward today at 4 p.m., McIntosh tomorrow at 4 p.m. and then playing Sandy Creek at home at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Landmark Christian will play at Callaway tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. and will play at Eagles Landing Christian Academy on Saturday at 1 p.m. before the season finale against Our Lady of Mercy at home on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The Bobcats host Temple tomorrow at 5 p.m. and will play at Excel Christian Saturday at noon.
