Bad Links? | PTC animal cases will now transfer to State CourtCitations written by Fayette Countys Animal Control officers will no longer be handled in Peachtree City Municipal Court. At the request of county officials, the offenses will now be handled in Fayette County State Court instead. This will allow animal control officers to avoid having to report to different courts on various days to dispose of cases, said city spokesperson Betsy Tyler. The change was officially approved at Thursdays meeting of the City Council. Any animal-related cases handled by the citys police department will still go to municipal court, Tyler added. Fayette County has long provided animal control services to Peachtree City and other municipalities. |
