Bad Links? | Big development on the way for I-85, Hwy. 74 intersectionTwo tracts totaling 22 acres at the intersection of I-85 and Ga. Highway 74 have been rezoned from industrial to commercial zoning by the Fairburn City Council. A 9.02-acre tract is situated on the northwest side of the intersection behind the Wendys restaurant. The other tract, consisting of 19.68 acres, is located on the southwest side of the intersection, directly across Oakley Industrial behind the RaceTrac service station. Currently under construction on property adjacent to the 9.02-acre tract is the corporate office for a Wendys franchiser. Across Hwy. 74 behind McDonalds, in unincorporated Fulton County, construction of the 60-unit Country Inn is underway. Immediately to the south on Hwy. 74 is the site of a planned Zaxbys Restaurant and, just a two blocks further south on Hwy. 74, is the site of the 60-unit Wingate Inn. |
